I'm looking to build up an N/A engine as a and im trying to get the most displacement i can out of it, but still be reliable (as far as the block not cracking). i saw a video a while back of Pross 21's beta drag car and they bored theirs out to 85.5mm!

Do you think this would be reliable since i wont be reving at 10k with a knife-edged crank.

As for specs i am planning the following:

RPW stroker kit (if they still make it)
85.5mm pistons with 11:1 compression
270/268 int/exh cams @ 10.5mm lift
Port/polish
blueprint/balance
Twin TB setup
piggyback/tuned ecu (dont want standalone because of emissions)
Redline 7000 (would this be safe with a stroker

If i calculated right and i can get the stroker kit(not sure of stroke guessing 98mm since its a 2.1L kit) with the big pistons my engine will have 2.3l... can you say torque!!

So what do you guys think...is it possible/good idea to try yesno.gif

from what i have read anything over 83mm it gets dangerous so if you plan on keepin this a daily driver you might wanna keep that in mind

and why only 11:1 compression? you can do that with 1.8 pistons on 2.0 rods

Have fun without a standalone...

And faith, if he went higher compression he'd have even more trouble tuning it. tongue.gif

Check out the ECU forum I created. We can flash your stock ecu to the specs you need. Take advantage of everything we've got in Korea man.

If u were lucky ud get 180, betas just arent n/a machines. Boost is a different story. for probably less than half of that you could have 3-350whp easy

Webtech says last bore size is 83 mm. 85.5 is to much for daily driver (IMO). It all depends how long do you want your engine to last.

I like how she has the racing harness and the stock seat belts still there.

This car is not ugly at all, just interesting....
