Default dynamat hoodliner neg effects?

i was thinking about buying the dynamat hoodliner, but im not sure if theres any negatives of having it, the box says it will deflect 97% of the engine heat so where does it go? is that just keeping more heat in the engine, cause if it does thats probly not the best thing right?

I wouldn't do it. Doesn't seem like a smart move. The weight and cost wouldn't be worth any positive effects you'd get from it. I'm still trying to figure out WHY anyone would do it.

If you get pulled over a lot . . . heard a story from a guy who didn't like being pulled over in the San Diego summertime, when the police wanted to search him and he had to put his hands on the hood. That musta looked an awful lot like "resisting" . . .
