dual exhaust questions
im curious about the dual exhaust on the new tib. what are the best pipe sizes with a turbo and all that stuff. with just the single exhaust its usually 2.75-3 inches right. is it different with dual. is dual exhaust goin to be a lot louder and more expensive since ill have to get two mufflers right. im completly lost ive never delt with dual exhaust. please someone fill me in.
ok,....
im pretty sure the I4 tibby will have a single exhaust and the v-6 will have a dual.
On a I4,... a 3" exhaust would be good for a turbo application.
On a V-6,... i really dont know,..lol
Im guessing it will have to also be a 3" exhaust on both sides for the twin turbo.

Look on the back of every Sunfire GT. They put a Y in the tailpipe, and run a pipe behind the rear bumper to a tip on the right side. When I think pontiac, I think fromage! But I guess it saves Hyundai making 2 different rear bumper covers for 4 & 6 cyl. Even on the six the dual is useless unless they are running 2 separate exhausts off each bank of cylinders. With a transverse 6 that could be a nightmare trying to get equal backpressure to each bank of cylinders. I would have rather seen them put a single exhaust on both motors. Whenever I follow an Accord V6 (or its Acura sibling), that looks junky underneath too with the split up by the rear axle. If it doesn't function - leave it off!
