Does polishing the outside of your IM offer any performance benefit?

I want to do this. Other than it looking cool and shiny does it offer any kind of performance benefit by having an external polished IM?

It'll simply retain a lot more heat. No real benefit aside from aesthetics

Polished = less surface area = can't radiate heat into the engine bay as well.
