the v6... hmmm. pretty controversial...

if the people outside this forum that are interested to buy the v6 tib, we cant stop them.

we know the Delta is weak...

we know the Beta is badd ass...

but i think more people will buy tibs w/ the V6 coz it has MORE POWER.

because of the people buying the V6, the aftermarket will jump to the Tib (at last!)...

but it would not really benefit most of us here...

what should we do?

catch my drift? am i burning you out?

Well, the obvious answer is: The turbo i4 is the better choice of the two.

However, Lantra is correct in saying people will gravitate towards the V6 just because (on paper) it looks like the better performer and it has the optional 6spd.

It is *possible* that, even though the DELTA series is weak in dealing with torque, that doesn't preclude its abilities to run a fairly strong N/A game. N/A motors don't build a lot of torque overall, they just KEEP that torque high into the revs. A 2.0L all-motor Honda that makes 210WHP may only make 140 pounds of torque...

We already know that RPW makes individual throttle bodies for other V6 applications. Combined with a standalone, a set of good cams, headwork and the full header/exhaust setup -- you might be able to get some good (250WHP) power out of the DELTA without breaking it.

Torque and heat is usually what breaks a motor. If you keep the torque to around 250 pounds or less but can KEEP it making that torque through 6000+ RPM's, you'll have a lot of power on-tap. Combined with a 6spd, you may have a serious contender.

It would still lose to a 400WHP BETA, but it wouldn't be quite so bad

I know that i am throwing out 206whp on the alpine kit with a really safe overfueled map on at the moment and i still have a fairly restrictive exhaust on also.As soon as i have replaced this for a 2 1/2 inch stainless one and had Boemanns motorsport give it the works i will publish the full data, so we have a bit more info on this turbo setup.
Also if i can get hold of the map it shouldnt be to hard to modify for a maf setup so that will solve the Alpine programming problem, as these peole realy know thier ****.One of his projects what how much hp out of a 2.0l motor on the bench it recorded 800bhp as it blew up.Id love to of seen that.

No i didnt bother with keeping that dyno as i still have to do the exhaust and get a proper tune on the car as soon as i have done those two i will post a full report on everything like i say its mainly to get rid of the alpine problems and to be honest i dont trust any results 100% until i get them from Boemanns motorsport as i know they are top.
Any way to be honest the bhp is good but thier are a couple of flat spots and the power drops off if you put you foot down more that 3/4, due to the over fueling. So even though the bhp is good the rest of it leaves a lot to be desired at the mo.
