Default Difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1 headers?

Hey all, can someone please clarify for me the differences with a 4-2-1 header and a 4-1 header? Specifically, which would be better for a beta motor fully done? From what I have vaguely heard, the 4-2-1 is better for higher HP, but not sure. Can anyone help me out?

to be honest

it doesnt really matter you MIGHT see 1hp difference between the two

NA mods on a 4 cyl are worthless man i had about 2 grand worth of na mods....and i dropped like a second in the quarter

if i wouldve done it over again i wouldve just got my nitrous kit first

4-1 headers provide maximum top end flow...

4-1 headers outflow the 4-2-1 headers because it has less intermediate pipes and less bends to follow... but there is a slight amount of low end torque loss...

4-2-1 provide more low-mid-range torque production...
