Guys i need to know.
I was driving my car.
It was a downhill.
So i stuck it in neutral and then did a quick neutral tap of exhaust till 5K RPM.
Then the car went pow(like a single firecracker) as soon as i left it out.
I did it again and same single pow.
After that it didnt do it again.
Now what is this?
Is there a difference between misfire/detonation?
Which is the the problem im defining? Misfire OR Detonation?

I would say it was just a backfire. My auto did it all the time. To be honest I think all cars do it, it's just a matter of what kind of exhaust system you have as to wether you hear it or not.

When I was stationed in Spain, my buddy bought a beater of a pickup truck to drive around in . . . it would never have been legal to drive here but it was there. . . he would key off/key on and the backfire sounded like a gunshot. The spani's always jumped or turned around real quick, he thought it was great fun. . .
. . . and continued to drive it after blowing a hole in the muffler lmao.gif
