Cv Shaft Transmission Oil Leaking.
Hey all,
I am experiencing a bit of a leak. I recently got both of my CV shafts replaced, and the driver's side shaft is leaking right under where it enters the transmission. Is there a seal inside there that prevents the transmission fluid from leaking out? Or is it a flushed seal between the CV shaft and the transmission?
I dont know what to do to stop this dripping.
Thanks

is it FOR sure leaking from the trans.. if so, thats what i just picked up today to fix it.. its a oil seal in the transmission for the driveshaft.. did this JUST start, or start after there repair?
they may have forgot to put or check that the spring was still in the seel..
the part costs 4 bucks from hyundai..

This has happened to me twice. First time I was hammering it one night, the next day, leaks from the cv shaft where it enters the gearbox. The cv shaft had popped out about 5mm and broken the seal/gasket. Oil slowly leaked out.
Just 3 days ago, i noticed oil leaking from the same spot. This time they said the clip that holds the cv shaft in was very weak, so they replaced it, they said it shouldn't happen again. They replaced the gasket as well. I'm sick of this, means i can't hammer it around corners in case it pulls out again. Next time they said they would have to take the shaft out completely to fully investigate.
Got it fixed for free so doesn't bother me. Stupid hyundai's
