Crappy 1/4 mile time

Crappy 1/4 mile time
i went to the track saturday and the best time i could get was a 18.8 but everyone was running slower then there time but 18.8 sounds crappy should i be running that in tibby?

another thing... do you have an automatic or manual? and what is the sea level to that track. the higher up you go, the slower and weaker your car becomes. automatics generally don't get good track times, and are slower than manual transmissions. Plus if you don't shift good on a manual, that could also equal bad times. launches are important also, you don't want to be slipping to much on your start. = bad time slips

mine is an auto and i can only rev it up 2rpm's that what i did and i was shifting the auto too i tried going for drive and i think i ran like a 19. or something. Also i'm at about 3200ft from sea level.

yeah mid 18's is what i get in my auto accent.
but thats with my 250 pound fat ass in the car, 4 subs, 2 amps, and a set of golf clubs.
step on the brake, hit the gas, 0.75 seconds after gas let go of brake, at about 4500 rpm let off gas for auto to shift, b4 it shifts nail the gas again and you'll take off. i had a good run doing that yesterday.
