Crank lightening, not knife edging
Has anyone done this? I was told it's like a lighten flywheel that make the car rev up faster. Can anyone confirm?

hey mate,
I HAVE NOT DONE THIS. I was actually looking into doing this myself though, this is the information I was told...
1) To a sense its like a lightened flywheel, however, its not as easy to change back and will cost more if you dont like the feel, or get fed up with it than changing back to a stock flywheel,
2) Yes it will rev up faster, but you also compramise take off and low speed driving (ie: through roadworks, school zones, ect)
3) You will get more or less same gains with getting the whole rotating assembly balanced as you would getting lightened, without compramising take off and low speed driving.
Its a bit more food for thought but didn't know if you knew these other points.
Cheers Ryan
