Default colt cams wont idle

anyone else have a problem with their idle hunting real bad after installing? i know these are cams and make the car run like a camed car, but i thought our ecus could relearn idle for the colt cam.

The stock computer can only do so much. If you can drive a few driving cycles, does it throw a code?

I assume you reset your ECU?

i had the idle problem before the cams. the cams made it a bit worse so i bumped the idle up. im debating replacing the ECU, or waiting and getting something like the mega squirt. with my current ECU the MAF circuits are messed up. it throws a MAF code with all the proper values on the ECU harness and on the MAF harness.

i was just curious if anyone has ran these cams on stock 2.0 ECU not Flashed or modified.

im not sure how to dial them in. i dont have an adjustable cam gear. i might wait to install them in my new engine until i get one, if i can run these with a stock ECU.

ive messed with SBC cams and distributors but.....
i was thinking the tiburon's was all elctronic besides adjusting the timing belt by a few teeth or the cam gear and risking bent valves

i found the original tread but red closed it before a conclusion was made, so any experience or help about this cam setup is appreciated

It can be done satisfactorily, but modding a car with pre-existing problems is begging for trouble.

Or any other problem you have.

i got the wiring right now thanks to this but the comp throws the same code no matter what even if its unhooked and i used my volt meter to test continuity between the maf and ecu pin out.

once i get the new motor in we should have an ohio meet tho
