I didn't think they actually wore down that far. I always thought 5K clutch dumps glazed them before you could wear them down to nothing.

hmmm very interesting... so did you find out where the spring ended up?

lol my clutch and tranny went poof last week. i've been gettin to work by using 2nd and 5th cause thats the only gears i really have left. you have to hold it in 1st gear and half the time it just throws itself back out. 3rd and 4th are just neutral on my box. glad i bought beta2 tranny last payday fing02.gif now i'm just waitin on flywheel to put all the new goodies in the tib

Nope, I was trying to keep up with a t-bucket with about 3k into the motor from summit racing. Bad idea. Anyways here is the issue. I got the tranny out, any ideas on an easy way to get it back in. I dropped it out the bottom of the car. So someone please get back to me. Thank you.

Like I was saying to you in the shoutbox, i dont know much about our beta's yet, but for my MX-3. The only way to get the tranny back in, is to lower the motor, mate the tranny up, then raise it back in. Thats my best guess, maybe some of the veterans around here would know better than me

jack the engine up and put it in at an angle. Check the DIY for the Tranny swap for some help

I call it fanagleing. Basically you gotta jiggle the tranny really freakin' hard and push the shaft into the hole.
