Clutch Going Out?
Im sure my clutch is going out. I will be going like 50 at 2500 rpm, floor it and the revs just go straight up. When I bought my car I also go a warranty with it so I will probably end up taking back to the dealership and get a new one. I was also wondering how long yalls clutches usually last. I have 67,000 mi. on mine. Could it be anything else that is causing this? Maybe needs adjusted?
They might try to hustle you out of the clutch repair, depending on the wording of the warranty where you bought it used. It probably doesn't cover parts such as a clutch, but you never know.
But yea, your clutch is going.

Unless you got a very nice warranty (not just the hyundai 100k mile warranty) clutch wear isn't covered. It's a wear and tear item like brakes. And yes, as has been said, your clutch is slipping - only thing to do is get a new one.
Yes, it's the signs of a clutch going out.
But *most* warranties, won't cover a clutch job. It's a wear and tear item just like your brakes. Only time either gets warrantied, even on new cars if it's mounted / installed / changed incorrectly from the factory or when you bought the car new.
But it never hurts to ask and check
EDIT: Oh damn A_gut beat me to it tongue.gif

Go to Ebay. I bought an Hyundai geniune clutch for $80. Anyways, I have 110,000 miles and my clutch is still running strong. But I don't drive it hard like some people.
