i was on a very big hill today and had to rev up high and give the car a lot of gas to get going. afterwards, i smelt a burning smell coming from the car that went away in a minute or so, i am assuming that the smell was the clutch? did i ruin the clutch? it still worked fine and all, but i am wondering if a burning smell from the clutch once in a while is ok? also, i had to use the emergency brake to help get going?? it doesn't ruin the e-brake when u use it to get going on a big hill now an again, right??

thanks

It does not hurt the emergency brake to use it under any circumstances except while the car is moving.

You may want to deglaze your clutch. http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...&hl=deglaze You probly did not wear it enough to warp it.

No, you may have shortened the life of your clutch a thousand miles or so, but it should be fine.

Also you shouldnt have to rev that high to get up any hill on any road...
