Default Cleaning Aem dryflow filter

I noticed my filter is getting a little dirty and was thinking about cleaning it but I heard from a couple of people that just replacing AEM filters is all you can do to it and they cant be cleaned....

Can someone give me the right answer on this? Thanks.

AEM sells a cleaning kit. So yes, they can be cleaned.

Get it through Amazon.

To add on to the OP's question though... How often SHOULD you clean your CAI filter? I have had my AEM CAI installed for nearly two years now (put about 40k km on it) and haven't done any real cleaning to it. I've taken an air gun and sprayed off superficial dust and stuff the odd time I have it raised in the air, but that's about it. Is there a recomended time before you should clean it?

Should be cleaned every 15k or so miles (depending on your environment).

All you want to know about Dryflow filter is on the FAQ on their website.

Personnally, i wash it every spring before putting it on my car (I take it off during the winter, living in Canada...)

I usually wash it using the technique seen on this video:

And i don't give a sh*t about using their expensive kit with the «special soap», i just use all-purpose soap and it's just fine!

Hope this helps!
