Afrer a day searching for a BETA in the streets of Manila i found a 1.8 w/c costs $790. Is that a good price for a surplus BETA?
OH YEAH, i looked for a 2.0 BETA in the internet and I saw a supplier from Korea selling a G4GF inc. tranny for $610. I'm assuming it is a new motor. Is it a good price?
I know little about the Tibs w/ 150 stock horsepower. what are they and what are there engine codes?
AND ONE FINAL THING:
anyone selling a 2.0 BETA?

That 1.8L for $790 seems high to me. But in the USA, beta motors are plentiful. In he phillipines, you are sort of stuck with what you can get.
If you do a search, Red, posted up all the various different engine codes.
The price from korea, with tranny is DAMN good, but how much would you have to pay in shipping? That might make the 1.8L you can get locally cheaper.

Local dealership is still selling a G4GD (2.0L out of the 2001.5 Elantra GT, solid lifters instead of HLA's) for $300. It needs a new #2 rod bearing, otherwise it has about 3K miles on it.
If you are wanting an engine to build-up, this would be absolutely perfect. If you want a drop-n-go setup, then it's too much work for you.

umm... what engine work will I have to do?
lucky for me, it's still available. do you know how much to ship it here?
hey guys i'm gonna put my 1.6 tranny and intake cam to my 2.0 because i've heard that the 1.6 cam is the same as the 1.8 and the 1.6 tranny has better gear ratios than the 2.0

umm....
the korea motor is USED not brand new and it does not include ECU. darn.
shipping adds 220 to the price.....
and it is not the Turbulence model too...
and they're not sure if it would bolt on to my elantra.....
