alright, so i'm serious. i got a cel on friday and the car seemed to be running fine. no problems. now all of a sudden my car is so much more louder and deeper than it was before and i notice a power increase? what do you think is going on? i don't know what the cel is for and i don't know why all of a sudden the car is louder and deeper and more powerful. lol i'm not complaining about the latter, but i'm complaining about not knowing why and the cel. anyone have any ideas what could be going on? i checked everything out under the hood and everything seems to be fine. checked out the gas cap issue and that's fine too. i disconnected the battery and the light went out, but popped back later on. my car is running better than it was before the cel so i don't think it's really a problem? lol. 02.gif

Louder as in exhaust or engine? I don't know of many things that work better when they're malfunctioning... Hmmm... Cat's gone maybe?

Sounds to me like you blew a cat (Now that sounds just NASTAY!), or possibly have a hole rusted thru in your exhaust somewhere.

Go to the AutoZone, they have a OBD scanner and will check your codes for free.
