I had a feeling you were going to say that! tongue.gif
Not putting down anyones catbacks or anything, it's just for cheaper ( or about the same $ ) you could have a custom one, and it would be to your specifications which I think would be much better. But hey, everyone has opinions! smile.gif

Like I said, I'd look into it more.
I just want performance specs on the different systems available.
What kind of muffler, downpipe, and headers. Although, I should probably make my own headers too instead of buying SR's ceramic coated 4-1ones.

Pick a muffler that you like the looks of, and sounds the way you want.
As far as downpipe, I think you mean the flexpipe, which comes with the SR headers I think.

And finally, you're going to MAKE your own headers? Now that will be unique! smile.gif

I have the MBRP, and at first i had one of those kevlar carbon fiber mufflers...too loud...but was nice and deep. Now I have an HKS dragger muffler for a 99 tib (mine is 2000), which fit like a glove, and it is nice and deep, but not much louder than stock...i am very happy with it.

Its on its way, slowly but surely. I saw the prototype on Jin's car (mysilvertiburon... 2000 tib 5spd) and it sounded sweet. Looked awesome too. The 03 tib V6 exhuast looks and sounds great too, not to mention the healthy power gain.

Hey any1 out there thinking that Custom is better than a premanufactured cat-back exhasut....I got news for yall.

Custom setups aren't all that great and there are MANY reasons why it's better to spend the extra $40-$90 more on a cat-back. An exhaust shop isn't going to be able to give you STAINLESS STEEL, MANDREL BENT quality. The stainless steel is usually the highest quality and worth the extram money because it'll probably out last your transmission. Mandrel bent is probably the #1 reason to get a cat-back over a custom exhaust because muffler shops can't mandrel bend a pipe. Their either press bent, crush bent or stretch bent. So sure you have a 2.5" exhaust but everytime there's a turn in the exhaust it can be reduced to 1.75" at any point reducing the exhaust flow and doing everything but improving performance. Not only that but most cat-backs have been R&D for sound AND PERFORMANCE!! I'm pretty sure you aren't paying these guys an extra $100 for the time to test for back pressure, exhaust flow velocities, exhaust sound tuning, or asthetics. Pay the x-tra and get a REAL exhaust system. I had a car that i took to an exhaust shop and i got the whole deal. I bought a header, hi-flow cat and a magnaflow muffler. Yeah it was better than stock but the sound @ certain RPMs was horrible not to mention WAY TOO LOUD, and i spent about $375 for the whole thing. I would've rather had spent an x-tra $50 for a mandrel bent, stainless steel system that made better sound that didn't wake up the neighbors or attracted too much attention from the cops. Sometimes exhaust shops can ORDER mandrel bends and make some sort of mandrel bent system, but they're not tuning it. It's just that when people take short cuts, they end up wasting money. Think about it!

Rich.

Thanks KoreanDude.

How-ever:
You can buy mandrel bends from any local exahust shop, however its a fairly pricey thing to do.

I'd rather take all the guess-work out of the entire thing, and buy a set-up thats already perfected. Your getting Stainless, mandrel bends, and the entire thing is in one, complete bolt on set.
