Just got mine done yesterday (thursday), cat back with an OBX HF02 cannon style muffler, sound sweet, not like a honda civic exhaust noise.
My friend has an EX... 99. He cut off his muffler and put on a straight pipe... ricey sound when its at high rpms... but on low rpms, sounded pretty decent. Just got mine done yesterday (thursday), cat back with an OBX HF02 cannon style muffler, sound sweet, not like a honda civic exhaust noise.
I got 2.25" catback with MBRP DTM muffler... no rice sound, but I did have a lot of back pressure you could hear when I left off the gas... but it sounded pretty nice.

I've noticed that today....there's a little bit of back pressure as I let off the gas...any way to fix this?
It's natural... my bros 2000 Camaro SS does it, a lot of my friends mustangs do it... mine did it.. I'm not sure if there is a way to fix it..

yeah there isn't anything broken guys, its the nature of the engine. Every engine will make a different noise with different exhausts. A high quality cat-back with proper R&D will give you highest possible gains, noise control, and best of all awesome exhaust note. The main reason Honda's have that "ricey" sound is they have a big @#! muffler strapped on to a really small exhaust. A 1.6l displacement doesn't help at all either. A good sound analogy would be like this, imagine a kazoo as a glass-pak and a straw as the exhaust piping. That straw is pretty small in dia. and the kazoo is well, pretty big as all mufflers are. Strap that on the straw and blow.....yeah it should sound familiar.
