Default Cat back dual exhaust???

Ok here's what i need to know, Do i need to buy a Cat from somwhere or can i have my local muff shop make it for me. If i need to buy one where and who can anyone suggest i get it from? and i would like to get 2 mufflers and have them coming out of the 2 "decorative" holes in the bumper of my 2k tib. Can somone tell me if this is at all possible and what will having 2 exhausts do rather than having just one. I assume it will only affect the sound but i dont really have a clue what im talking about.

Yes, your local exhaust shop should have replacement Cats for you to choose from.

Yes, they can "build" a custom exhaust that seperates into a "Y" just behind the rear axle and terminates into 2 mufflers.

It will add a lot of weight to your car, and may involve relocating the Evap Canister which is located opposite the stock muffler.

So, Yes, you can do all of the above. I do not reccomend doing the dual exhaust. It will add a lot of weight for next to no perfromance gain...and possibly a performance loss due to low/no backpressure in the new custom exhaust you have made.

If you DO do the dual exhaust, I don't reccomend anything larger than 1.5 tubing from the Split back. two 1.5 tubes have more flow area than a 3" exhaust so you would be effectivly upgrading to a 3" exhaust...which is way to big for a Basically stock N/A car.
