In CALI, CAI's need to be CARB approved. None of the existing CAI's are CARB approved. (KORE, AOS, Injen, or Random Special)

The SR CAI is not out yet, so I cannot say if it will be carb approved.

Note: it takes time, patience, people skills, lots of $$$ and maybe even a little bit of bribe $ (dunno about that last one wink ) to get ANYTHING CARB Approved. If you never get pulled over you don't have anything to worry about and if you do it's just a fix-it ticket.

Some of the parts that I am working on I am looking into CARB approval. You have to have the emissions testing done a CARB approved test facility. The testing totals to be around $3000+ depending what you ae having done. Then after testing you have to send the results to the EPA and have a board approve it. If they require more data they will ask you to go through more testing at there expense. They will also have to have a copy of what is being tested to review also. If approved you get a CARB EO Number, if not more testing all over again.

Probably only the AEM for a while (provided they ever actually release the thing)
