Hmm...

Now I'd start thinking you have another problem I had at once.

Loose CKP sensor.

Could be the camshaft sensor too since you were in the head doing stuff.

Go check your CKP sensor and CPS.

CKP is on the front of the engine, look for the sensor to the LEFT of the tranny bell housing below the head. Check and make sure it's in place, plugged in, and tight. Might just want to replace it. The CPS is on the back left side of the engine. never have messed with it myself, but I think it's the only sensor back there.

The CKP senses the crank passing by it, if it's loose and can't sens it coming past, the fuel pump doesn't fire. When wires or hoses are warm, theya re more flexible, and move, when cold, they are stiffer and hold things in place.

See where I'm coming from?

^ I agree.

as I said in post #4, my CKP was loose and I made it about 30 miles (~50km) before mine shut down. Wouldn't start back up so I had it towed to the dealership. Dealership started it up just fine (cold), left it overnight, it started up just fine (cold). Then we realized it was CKP and is only affected once it warms up.

Also... are you experiencing any voltage drops when this happens? Radio/lights dim before it dies?

CKP = CRANK SENSOR

Starting to get more and more common for us guys. This should start to be a red flag everytime. Ive replaced one recently and have heard a few members doing the same.

Hey guys the crank sensor did get replaced.
Only the Cam position didnt get replaced.
Oh damn...
What to do.
The car is at the mechanics now. Hopefully they will figure it out.
Thanks guys.

Guys i Just found out what it was.
The mechanic told me it was a Potentio meter idle control.
It sits on the firewall.
Do your cars have this? Or is it only for Map Cars?

never heard of it.

WTF does that go?

The CKP, when replaced, you can get oil into the bolt hole for it REALLY easily, and when you do, the bolt can back out if not torqued well, VERY easily. it's only gotta back out a bit for it to happen.

get us more info on this sensor you are talking about, I've never heard of it or know where it goes.

Guys it wasnt the problem.
The problem wasnt the potentio meter.
Redz t located by the shock mounting in front LH if sitting in car.
It still does the same thing.

Damn.
The mechanic want to replace my ported intake manifold.
Do you guys think my ported intake has anything to do with this problem?

He said the cam position sensor would not do this.
He has run out of ideas thats why wants to change the intake manifold for my stock one.

Also could the PCV Valve do this?
