It sounds like something is wrong there.

The cam and CAI should not have caused these kinds of problems.

Who installed the cam for you?

Who's CAI did you install? Did you make sure to install the IAT sensor in the air stream in the CAI?

Detach the negative battery cable. Leave it off about 15 mintues. Then re attach it. The ECU should quickly adjust for the new CAI and cam.

If you are still having problems, let us know.

are you sure it's oil and not too much gas? Yes the car will idle a tad rougher but with out headders it shouldn't sound like a rod ( mine does tho :-) . check the pcv for oil, I noticed some extra oil burning but thats cause I fried my valves on juice, just a cam and CAI shouldn't do it. Did they put the cam in right? if they put it in 1 tooth too long or short on the chain you will be eating valves and cause this.

Well, if they're only ONE tooth off it doesn't eat valves. The valve timing isn't that tight stock, you can advance 1 or retard 2 teeth without doing any damage (except your power will suck ass)

I noticed that the GT intake cam dropped my intake vacuum by about 3-4 inches of mercury, which is enough to make it stumble a bit at idle. I don't know why it does this, the cam isn't THAT aggressive.

It shouldnt' smell bad either way tho, so you may still wanna have it checked out. If the cam is off 1 or 2 teeth, you will get a LOT of noise at WOT but not a lot of power.
