Cam Gears

Nowhere. You will not see much gain if any with stock cams in a stock engine, with adjustable cam gears, if you can even get a set fitted. With aftermarket cams, it's a different story, and the gears exist but they don't seem to be very popular in the US.

The Hyundai Beta engine uses only one Cam gear, and 2 cam sprockets.
The timing belt drives the exhaust cam. At the other end, the exhaust cam has a chain sprocket on it, and a chain that runs to the intake cam which also has a sprocket.
in order to change the cam timing, you either need a set of adjustable chain sprockets, which means you must remove the valve cover for each adjustment, or you must have and adjustable cam gear for the exhaust cam, and an adjustable chain sproket for the intake cam, this still requires you to remove the valve cover to adjust the cam timing.
Needless to say...because of this...this mod is not very popular, even in Korea.
