Default callin all 2k's with mbrp exhaust

i finally got my mbrp exhaust and got a chance to install it and it dont fit ... i got a 2k1 tib and im in californa so i dont know if california emissions has anything to do with it. i talked 2 my dealership and they said 2k's and 2k1 tibs got the same exhaust system but he didnt know the difference between cars with and without cali emissions. so if anyone with this exhaust can let me know how it fit on your car that would be hella coo ...thanx

Hey I have the sharkracing exhaust that one fits with minor alteration. But anyways it won't affect your emissions the cats take care of that and the 2k and 2k1 have exactuly the same set up two cats one on the manifold and one underneath.

What doesn't fit about the exhaust? To long? To short? Hangers don't line up?

It should work with your car with no problems. Only difference between the first gen and second gen exhaust wise is that the gen2's have a sightly larger muffler.

AH cali emissions, the pipes are all different, the flex pipe is diferent lengths and the extra cat ( where we should have a resonator and mid muffler ). the mbrp system was for non cali cars, I'll tell Steve about this .

hey roller, thanks for letting us know. i live in cali and was seriously interested in buying the speedstate catb back exhaust, but now i'm not sure. will they ever make one for cali cars, or will I have to get it modified at a muffler shop?

Sorry, I should have warned you. California, and Virgina cars have the "modified" exhaust, and will have problems with KORE, or Speedstate/MBRP's exhaust.

A compent muffler shop should be able to make it work for under $100.
