when or how often do i need to clean the filter on the KORE CAI. i already bought the k&n recharge kit but i hvae no idea when to use

Just keep an eye on it. If it looks like it's getting too dirty or clogged up, then clean it. It's good to be safe than sorry anyway. You can never clean something too much. BUT, if you don't clean it (dirty filter), then you'll lose performance. wink.gif

If the filter is K&N, I suggest you check out K&N's website for info.

They only need to be cleaned every 50,000 miles. More often in 'severe' conditions, but I would not do it more often than every 10,000 miles.
