Any clue .

I was thinking of getting one made from 3" exhaust pipe if I can find someone to bend it, but I have no idea if CAI's are made out of this material or not.

Actually flexible exhaust hose has been used, ABS, steel tubing...the important thing is to avoid short-radius corners as much as possible, and to pick something that you think looks good. 3" is probably about as big as you can get, if you can lay that out without any sharp 90° turns then go for it, in whatever material you want.

Remember though that if you really want a cold air intake, you'll probably want to insulate it.

I was thinking the same thing (make my own) should be easy just bend some good 3inch Alumin pipe. Nope I talked to the Metal shop and they told me that unless you heat the metal it will pull apart.

So now Im thinking steel to bend or getting matching bends and still using aluminum (sp)

Well I made my own today! I used 2 90 degree rubber abs elbowas and a piece of flexable tailpipe tubing and it worked great the filter is in the fender and it sounds louder and it feels like it has a little better response too!

Do you have Fog Lights? If so, take out the drive side...you'll notice a MUCH MORE difference then also..

I do have fog lights but won't that leave a nice big hole. Or would it be okay to leave the hole open?
