do i have to cut the fender well or just remove it to get the cold air intake to its proper position?

You have to cut a little section out. Shaped like a U, about 4 inches. by 3. Easy.

i just removed the whole thing till i get time to cut it correctly.....but the damn thing took 2 ppl 3 hrs to install.... also, the top of the cai shakes a lil is that ok...i mean a lil its not much.

mine vibrates real bad when idling and when in reverse. Maybe it's because of all the clamps; I've got a bypass valve as well. It vibrates enough for me to hear it and doesn't always happen. I can feel the vibration in the brake pedal when it idles and in reverse, unless I'm accelerating. Also does it when idling with A/C on.

Did you mean the fender lining? The plastic covering? I took mine off when I put the body kit on, so that the scoops would be functional and going towards the brakes. You also have to cut a little of the transmission guard.

ok, thx ive just taken it off, untill i feel like cuting it.....its running very well and i love the new sound....smile.gif

can anyone give me a pic of where to cut it...so i dont have to jack the car up to find out where the intake goes through it.....

man i have the AEM for a 97, and it didnt look like i needed to cut anything, but i didnt install it, i love it though sounds sick

Doesn't taking the liner off defeat the purpose of the CAI, as the pod will still be in part of the engine bay (although low and off to the side) :?
