Default A/C Question

Hey there, quick easy question, I'm thinking of removing my Air Conditioner, why? Because I live in Alaska, who needs it! However I may, the question is does the Air Conditioner control Defrosting? Because in Alaska during the winter, DEFROSTING MATTERS! Anyway I notice everytime I turn on my front Defroster that the A/C light automatically comes on (not on rear defroster however) alright thanks. This is a simple question i need answered so I could determine whether or not removing the A/C is a simple idea...

it dehimidifies the air.

The entire air conditioning system seems to weigh in around 70 pounds, give or take. I live in New Mexico, and I still ripped it out

Yeh I'm not worried about heat...its the cold air that bothers me, during the winter around here our windshields get sheets of ice that our defrosters get to work on smile.gif
