Default Buyign a used muffler

I might be buying a used HKS exhaust off of on of the board members and i wanted to know if it was a good idea to buy a used one. I seen pictures and it looks good. the tip is still nice and shinny. What kinda stuff should i look for?

I don't see a problem wrong with this b/c the HKS muffler is a bolt on. How long was it on the car for? Atleast with it being used it will already be broke in.

If you do get it and your planing on doing a cat back system I would wait and then have the cat back and muffler put on. And then have the muffler shop weld the muffler on instead of bolting it b/c I didn't and just bolted it on and it burnt the rear bumper b/c it was leaning on the left hand side of the cut out.

he said it got 7,000kms on it. i dont know how many miles taht is.

Not sure either but it should be in good shape then and it's worth buying IMHO. It should be only about few thousands miles so that isn't bad at all.
