ok so im definitely burning through oil like mad now. last month i was low a quart of oil, and now this month same thing. my car runs fine, i have no check engine light, i only have I/H/E and i have Seafoamed it a few times (i think two or three times). i havent checked the plugs yet, and i have no oil leaks that i can see. any suggestions?

also FYI, my MAF is a lil screwy. i get a CEL if it gets below freezing.

ANYWAY, hook a catch can up to your PCV, and your valve cover vent (just a cheapo one)

if it fills up fast, your rings may be bad.. if it doesn't check under the car for leaks..

 

Oil can have something to do with you running too rich.

If your pistons are not sealing properly, it will cause excessive blow-by through your breather hole. If your breather shoots too much oil into your intake, it will drain down to the filter. Eventually air passing by the filter will pick it back up and shoot it back at your MAF.

Here's your soloutions:

MAF: buy electronics cleaner from your local autoparts store and spray the hell out of it. Do not touch it. Just spray it well and let it dry.

Blow-by: buy some compression restore ring sealant. I can't remember what the brand name is. It will seal up your pistons and stop blow by.

^^ NAH!!! Don't buy that!!! If you look right next to the "MAF cleaner" you'll find "electronics cleaner" They're the exact same stuff, but the MAF cleaner is smaller and costs $3 more. Trust me, buy electronics cleaner. You get more for less.
