Default Boring IM

I was planning on taking my IM to an engine shop to get it bored. Should i just give them the SR throttle Body and tell to match it, or does it need to be polished also?

Thanks!

you'll want to get it ported and polished as well, tib's really gain quite a bit from that kind of work.

Call up Extrude Hone. This is the best place to get an intkae done. Less risk of a screw up by some shadetree moron that don't know what he is doing.

Extrude Hone

As a claim to their abilities ... Ford sent the intake system from the SVT Contour to them and got 25HP over stock.

The time and cost involved is worth it IMHO.

Hmmm.... Sounds like they do a very high quality job.

I was looking at the price sheet Click Here

$395 to get the IM done, and i think only $80 extra if you want to get the TB matched.

One question: Is the IM aluminum or cast iron?

It's aluminum.

If the $475 price tag is a bit much for ya, there are a lot of very happy customers around here who have sent their IM & TB to Onpol, who has them done at a shop near him. They have done a whole lot of them--I've seen their work and they are not "shadetree morons" wink . They also provide a new plate for the TB. It doesn't have the full flow coating inside but it's a heck of an improvement for only $300 or so.
