You may have loosened a ground and forgotten to reconnect it. When I was fooling around with my ECM I had to pull it out THREE times because I kept forgetting to hook up the ground wire that uses one of the ECM bolts!

The filter: OEM is the standard by which others are judged. Purolator Pure One and a few others are decent but OEM is cheap and a no-brainer for ticking HLAs. If a filter has just the wrong type of media, or not enough of it, or the holes are the wrong size or whatnot, it can restrict oil flow. With hydraulic valve adjusters, you need LOTS of oil in the cylinder head. If the top end is starved for oil, the HLAs will bleed down vs. filling with oil and there will be excessive valve lash. When the cam hits the HLA and when the HLA hits the valve stem, it will go CLANK a little bit, several thousand times a minute. tickticktickticktickticktickticketc.

Went trough it all every ground and cleaned it and I'm getting the same results.

Cooling issue: is different now its not heating up but the same hose is leaking in the back of the head.

Started getting a holow sound coming from somewhere around the transmission: I did not torque the flywheels and idk if theres uneven pressure and its hitting something... but when I start the car Its hard to start and it sounds like something is hiting and scrapping.

Don't know what I should do. Pretty stressful situation.

I'm the only one working on my car. I'm only 17 as much as I don't wana say this. I need as much help as possible

If you don't use the proper torque settings on the flywheel you should expect to have difficulties later, to include a bolt flying loose and breaking stuff inside the bellhousing or jamming in the clutch or pressure plate, or breaking the throwout fork. You never know, but you don't want to find out! Torque down the flywheel, that's a no-brainer.

Using a wrong-part starter is also a recipe for disaster. Even a junkyard starter the right part is better than mixnmatch when you are having starting troubles. Eliminate all the possible incompatibilities by using the right part.

Cooling problems: not heating is not great, but it's better than not cooling. If the engine truly IS getting warm but not showing it on the gauge, then you may have a malfunctioning temperature sensor or wires or gauge in there somewhere. How sure are you that the thermostat and water pump are good? The thermostat is easy to test once you get it out: it should be closed when cold, and you toss it in a pot of water on the stove. Turn on the heat and as the water comes to a boil the t-stat should open. It should close when cool again.

Coolant hoses leaking are a sign of either super-old hoses, bad clamps, or pressure high off the charts. If the hoses are ok and not clogged with something, change the clamps. Hyundai used spring clamps but you could use a Jubilee clamp if you don't have a replacement spring clamp.

There is no need for stress! These are simple cars and the problems usually are simple. Once you find the malfunctioning part and replace or repair it, you'll be golden. There may be a member near you that is willing to come put a second set of eyes on the car, so that's something worth looking into.

I got a new starter brand new tib starter. It did the same thing. I got a new thermostat a few days ago also.

And I think I might drop the trans today to torque the flywheel

And someone told me it could be something in side the block that isn't working. I forgot the name.

so im still on this problem with the fan not coming on, the heater/radio having no power to it and head lamp not working

but i do have head lights and break lights and cluster is working properly,

i haven't had any time to work on the car but now i have to bring it out and start driving it to school soon so i need this fixed

this same thing happen to me on my last build. i went to take the motor out to refresh it (paint/cleanbay) and when i put the motor back together the motor ran fine but heater-radio-and inside lights were dead. (now the same thing?)

has to be something im missing.... and i dont understand. people say "oh you forgot a ground or pinched wires" but i never was inside the car and the engine bay is very simple and i dont see where i could have touched anything that relates to the inside

i was thinking to my self hey maybe i connected the starter cables wrong. or fliped something but idk because i'd think the car will never start.

but idk this happen 2 times already.. if anyone can think of anything else, or guide me in the right place i thank you.

(and i did cheak fuses)

yes i did alot of studying on my cars diagram. and this big 100a fuse basiclly gets power straight from the batery

with that being said because it was open i was only getting power to one side of the fuse box.. (which was the driveablity side powered fuel pump ex.) the other side of the fuse box was mainly all things that did not work (radiator fan, all lights inside, radio, blower).. so fuseable link after fuseable link if that makes any since
