i met this tiburon enthusiast here in L.A and told me that the max hp that the beta can reach na is 220. Is this true or has anyone here reach more than that na.

Tell him he is a Tool if he is thinking 2.0. i dont even think you can get 220 with the 2.7 in N/A, probably wrong on that though since they start with around 180.

most i have ever heard is 160 WHP.

I8aCobra's tib

He made 157/133.5. I made 164whp right before selling the car, but the last dyno chart I have and only number I can "prove" is 152.15/135.5. I think the only major difference between our cars is that he has oversized valves and lumpier cams. I still think he should be able to beat my 164whp with his current parts if he gets a better tuning solution.

so the highest recorded na hp is 164 na? wow wat was your mod list when you reached 164 ibacobra.

An friend of mine can get a "race" head (from korea) which will add about 50hp. With the right cams (colt cams: 8whp), intake (airram & cai: about 10whp?) and exhaust (equal length and 2,5" back: about 10whp?) setup and custom remapping the ecu should take you 200+hp on flywheel. These allong with other upgrades such as lightened flywheel, lighter pullies, etc...

stock beta gives +10hp on tuning a stock ecu, so a modified beta should give a bit more

REDZMAN Feb 1, 2009 10:14 AM

HP doesn't add up like that.

If so, I'd be at about 210 WHP.

i8acobra Feb 1, 2009 10:15 AM

Sorry, but no head is going to give you a 40% increase in power.

Here's my mod thread:
