Hey everyone. I was drag racing in pittsburgh when I ripped the throw out bearing out of the clutch and broke both tabs off the bearing.
Drove the car home (approx.400 kms) shifting without the clutch. Put a new bearing in and when I put the tranny together I found out my third gear synchos were shot. Anyways seeing as how the tranny needs to come back out I was thinking of putting in a tranny out of a 2006 elantra which is close by with low mileage and they want 500 cdn for it. After doing a fair bit of searching I haven't found much on the tranny swap other than a bit of grinding.
After a long enough post what I want to know is will a 2006 5spd elantra tranny bolt into a 2001 2.0 5spd tiburon.
