Id love a nice rubber gasket. The cork ones suck though. If you put the studs in because you need to take it off often, you will grow to hate the cork gaskets. You may like it better though since you hate using RTV. The Right Stuff, as mentioned, works great

guys i just got back from work and i check what was going on. ALL year betas 98-2003 so thats beta1 and 2 ROL-gaskets has made a rubber gasket for hyundai 2.0L motors. i asked some of the other guys at work and they said that usually engines that come with RTV from factory are that was to save money and its not unusual for there to be a rubber gasket later down the line.

i think i'm going to just go back and buy the gasket agin and see if it fits. i never even attempted to match it up i was just taking everyone on heres word for it

OIL PAN GASKETS

what do you guys think about this??

also i was looking at m6 bolts and i need to know the length in MM so i can buy the right size. wont most of my beta1 bolts work other then the ones that are longer ?

DO IT.. i wanna see a gasket that fits our cars.. again i HATE RTV.

the beta I bolts will not work for ANY of the betaII pan.. the betaI bolts are really short, and wont even go thru the cast alum. pan. you will need ALL new bolts..
