You will need to I install an 'oil non return valve'. Its an OEM part from a beta 1 motor, it goes on an oil passage (picture the block sitting in the engine bay, between 2 and 3 cyl near the front edge)...other than that it should be fine but won't flow as well as the beta 2 head

I can tell from your sig picture that you dont have VVT, and to get at the oil valve you need to remove the head. Check the Beta 1 vs Beta 2 thread in this forum section.

Just to be sure, how are the blocks different between an ordinary beta II and one with CVVT? My CVVT block is stamped with XD20 as well. What's the engine number?

Nothing is different between blocks other than that valve, do some research...go look for yourself, vvt is in the head.

I was just making assumptions based on the car...and really in order to have VVT you need the ECU and wiring.
