beta 1 uses HLA aka: Hydrolic lifter that main a 0 lash and less noise
beta 2, uses sold tap lifter " the choice of many shops" better high rpm response
Less valve float. and both heads are interchangeable. i am current useing a beta 1 block and a beta 2 head. no problem what so ever.. late i got to check my clearance due to the fact that i use shim.
