Looks more like the cv end is bad and causing the movement.

Something's definitely bent; which side, though, is a different question.

Bit off topic, what is the point of that little piece of rubber they put on the shaft? I never understood that. Wouldn't that make it a larger target for things protruding under the car?

^^ I think it's a boot to cover the lubrication in there. Keeps dirt and stuff from getting in.

does it drive ok? im mainly asking cause i also have a vent axle, but it has been for a few years now, and i have no issues from it.

mine happened from a few too many burn out's on heavy 17's. i just try to lay off the burnouts now and be a good reputable citizen now.

it drives ok but there is a constant knocking type of movement pulsing shell we say when you drive, steering/ is ok just a constant pulsing vibration you can feel with your foot as it rests against the floor,
ah im going to pull it off anyway and check,
boosting at 14psi hard surely cant be good.

im having that pulsing too at highway speeds and i just replaced both of my shafts. i have no f***in clue what else it could be. i'm going to put on new wheels/tires and if that dosent fix it i'm gonna try a new rack. all i did was slide into curb at about 20-25Mph and now my shit just feels f***ed at anything above 65

Get an axle from auto zone or something, should be around 100 bucks after you give them yours for a core. Just make sure there are no cracks or holes in the CV boots.

You probably bent it when you slammed into second or launched in first.

Guys, I think DrivingTibNaked means the piece of rubber that is actually ON the driveshaft. I believe that is to ensure a balanced driveshaft. You can try sliding that piece of rubber into different slots on the driveshaft to solve your problem. But I very highly doubt that will do anything at all due to the extent of your bend.

Just get a reman axle, getting this one straightened would be a joke considering the low cost of a reman.
