My idler pulley is making noises, so I figure I'll replace it and the belts at the same time. The best place I could find for prices is RockAuto.com. Usually, I go into advanced auto and pick the "quiet" belts.... Any suggestions?

Power Steering... which one is quiet? I hate belt noises.

Some of these are labeled Comp and Idler (as in A/C belt) and some are labeled Alt and water pump(alternator belt). Are they the same belt?

For my last question.. I need the air conditioner tensioner pulley as well.. One is $32 and another is more then double, $71... Do you really get what you pay for, or are they just more expensive for no reason?

Feedback would help.

OEM repalcement belts are made by gates
good belts brand would be Dayco, gates, goodyear
for the idler pulley use either OEM or dayco

^^ They don't have either choice for the idler pulley. Would gates work?
I know now that I won't get AC Delco belts. Thanks!

When I did my pullies I replaced all of my belts with Goodyear Gatorback belts, I LOVE THEM. Very quiet, no slippage, just love em.

yeah, those are the ones at advanced, the quiet ones I usually get. Those are what I usually use. They cracked after 25,000 miles though and I now need new ones. I'm going to try to find some longer life ones.

I obtained an OEM A/C pulley off e-bay.

I guess I'll order Dayco belts tonight, unless there's a better suggestion.
