Default BBTB w/o BIM

What would be the gains with just a BBTB...i believe this has been coevered before i jsut cant find teh thread.....

I plan on havingm my IM bored here someday but i cant find anyone around belmond, iowa to do it
and i dont wanna ship it off to onpol to have him *do it*( i believe a shop does it for him)

but i have a random cai so would it be worth just gettin teh the thorttle body

no offense to onpol but i dont want my car to not be drivable....if someone has a IM for sale i will buy it and have him do i then though

Hey there, having a BTB would be pretty much useless without having a BIM. However, it is perferctly understandable that you don't want your car to be immobile for a while. Check the For Sale forum, I think Onpol made a post that he is selling a BIM/BTB combo. I think that means he already has then bored and he'll just ship them to you, you install them, then send him your stock components. Not positive though, check there then contact him! smile.gif

heres a question.....with the barney throttle body will the stock air tube coming off the throttle body fit on there?

yup. that's how mine's hooked up now, since i can't pull out my IM in my apt parking lot... specifically against the lease to do car work. i did manage to throw the bbtb on there with no one looking though smile.gif

I think Viper966 was selling a stock IM not too long ago. Not sure what he was asking though. You should do a search for IM or BIM in the For Sale forum.

No website. Just e-mail him.

The BTB without a BIM would be pointless, it may even hurt performance as the diameter change from the larger TB to the smaller IM opening would create turbulence and slow air speed.
