BBTB? barney? or 58mm?
I saw that SR has two throttle bodies,
the 58mm one that looks like stock, but isn't bored out. and the barney 61mm one.
Is there a difference?(ok, duh, apart from the air intake). Because isn't it still bigger than the IM? What sort of HP gains are expected on with this? I'm looking for a supercharger later on so, I'm going in the super direction I guess.
Anyone have a BBTB and can tell me experiences/dyno's or whatever?
anyhelp would be very appreciated.

Decker- you would have to bore the IM to match the TB to recieve any hp gains. If you bought the 58mm TB you would have to bore the IM to 58mm. I believe you can only bore the IM to 58mm. If I'm wrong someone correct me, but I'm pretty sure you can only bore the IM to 58mm. So it would be kind of pointless to get a 61mm BBTB.

You can take the IM to well over 65.. There is plenty of material to be removed, but structurally, there is no reason you can't bore it out to almost 70mm (you hit the studs about then) Getting a 70mm TB would be a bit more of a problem...at least getting one to fit our engine.

Hrm. Onpol told me that the stock IM can't be bored out beyond 60...

It can, but you have to bore deeper into the IM and remove MUCH more materal. When I measured it out with my calipers, I get 73mm between the bolts and 77mm top to bottom and side to side.
I can't really wait for onpol to bore out my IM, so should I wait for a supercharger and then get a BBTB?
I also thought that a SC will give you like 40-50hp to the wheels, were a Turbo is 80+hp?
