Default Which BBTB?

Ok, i've finally have some extra money to spend on some mods and will be buying a Airram soon. What i need to know is what BBTB should i be looking at w/ this purchase? I want to buy them both together, or atleast install them at the same time.

I was going to buy the RSide 1.5 DOHC Throttle Body from kspec but i believe that that TB is no longer available. (Correct me if im wrong.)

If that TB is available i'll end up getting that one but if its not i need some advice.

Why would you want to buy the TB for the Alpha 1.5 engine? Because if you do have one (I don't know what car you drive) then the AirRam is not for you...
AirRam is for Beta I (it could be on Beta II with modifications) and you should look after a TB for the Beta I too; that 1.5 IS NOT for any Tib or Elantra in the states, southamerica or Europe; I know in Korea there are some first gen Elantras with the 1.5 Alpha engine; but I doubt there any Tibs with that engine even in Korea.
If you have a Beta I get AirRam + a Beta I TB
If you have a Beta II then get AirRam (drill it) and get a Beta II TB

I have a 2001 tiburon. I thought i was told that Kspec had a Rside TB that was for our cars.

If not, just direct me to a good TB that i can get that will work both with my car and the airram.

Yeah, Kspec HAD a RSide Throttle Body that fitted your engine (Actually they had TB's for Beta I and Beta II) but they are gone.
The one you saw was always there, but thatone is not the one appropriate for your engine. Right now what they have to siut your engine is the TigerLily TB, 58mm; that is appropriate for your engine. I think they will carry some more TB options, just don't know when they are going to star selling them, maybe REDZ can assist us on this Q.

ok, yea i just took another look and i see now. Just mixed that one up w/ the one that was there before. I see the TigerLily TB, 58mm. Is there a big difference between 58mm and 62mm? I can go anywhere between there being n/a right? And if i got the 58mm would it help or hurt me any more then the 62mm?

First remember you have a 2.0L engine, so don't go buying parts for 1.5L engines... the throttle body really doesn't create much gain, you might gain a few hp with it with the Air-Ram, and probably none without it. It helps more with throttle response than anything.

Yeah, plus if you go too big on the TB diameter, you loose intake velocity, and it will hurt your performance, specially on the lower end. Even when there shouldn't be that big of a performance difference between 58mm and 62mm it certainly is somthing worth looking at. Consider your OEM unit is 53mm, so 5mm more is a big gain, and from 58mm to 62mm you have 4mm more, almost what you gained from 53mm to 58mm.
I don't know which "is better" but I would think it has a lot to do with your other mods, i.E. if you know you will install lumy cams then a big (62mm) TB would show better gains, but if you're going to stick to a 1,8 cam, and mild breathing mods, 62mm could be too much. Just take a moment to plan your engine and try visualize what you're going to put on it in a realistic way, that should help taking a decission.

Yes there is a noticeable difference if you put a BBTB with the 58mm and another with the 62mm together and look at them. Performance wise, there may be some difference
