i have a 01 tib, and i need a new clutch. most likely the only thing i am going to put in the car is a intake and exhaust. autozone has a clutch for 180 and pepboys for 200. would these clutches be okay? it is my daily driver and i don't race. i still want the car to have some power and pickup.
Get the one from autozone. I work there & we carry 2 brands. The luk & duralast. We will replace it if you break it or wear it all the way down untill you need a new one or give you money back if you didn't like it based of our customer satisfaction policy.
DXD clutches are awesome. $200 for a stage 1 street clutch. Pulls a lot harder than stock, still has a stock feel, and will last a lot longer.

Go to catalog and hyundai on the left tool bar. For $240 you get a much better than stock stage 1 with cryo treatment (I'd suggest, it helps) or for $200 you can get the stage 1 without cryo.
Had it in my tib and I LOVED it, much much better than stock.

That's what I hate about autoparts stores, they sell crap parts with these warranties but they ignore the labor costs that basically kill the wallet. Clutches are no joke when it comes to labor charges. Either buy the OE on ebay or buy some "other" brand with a long warranty and end up changing it numerous times. And no offense, Advance Auto and Autozone has the worst quality parts/reman parts available.
I'm sticking to NAPA parts from now on.

Valeo makes the OEM clutch. A year ago when I was looking, there were Valeo-brand replacement clutches for $100-ish shipped on eBay. If you just need a stock replacement and aren't racing or driving dumb, why spend 200% of the cost?
