powder coating does nothing to insulate the part, u need to ceramic coat it and it would make a differance

actually it wouldn't do anything.
Its still connected to you block which is transfering heat like nobody's buisness. You should get a phenolic IM spacer, and that'll prevent heat transfer. ANd then you can worry about powder coating or cermaic coating it.

But if its for looks, go for powder coating.

if you don't put the spacer on the intake then the coatings will actually make the intake hold more heat in. it won't be able to dissipate the heat it absorbs from the head. I wouldn't do anything to the intake. even powder coating it will make it hold more heat.

Ceramic coating will keep your overall engine bay temps much cooler,... plus the air flow going through the IM, will go in much smoother
is it worth it??? not really,... the IM never gets as hot as the exhaust or headers, so you dont benefit as much

i got my headers ceramic coated,... I can touch my headers 5 min after the car has been turned off,...
