Well I picked up a 97 Tib yesterday. its an auto and it has no overdrive. i dont believe the trans is going bad. when od is turned on it shifts out of 3rd and just revs up like its in neutral. i read the codes i got off it. P0624 (which from a search looks like a basic code thats set from the tcm) and P0712. Webtech and searching says that the second one is that the trans fluid temp sensor is reading to high of a temp. If anyone has any ideas to begin troubleshooting I would appreciate it

have u checked ur fluids?(maybe it needs refilling)
grab a new tranny cooler maybe...?

sounds like a gear or somthing in the od unit itself broke so it doesnt catch when its in use (could be an expensive fix) rolleyes.gif
