Ok i have a 2000 auto tib and i am set on making a lot more HP for this car. I am just trying to see what some other auto guys are doing and how much HP they are putting down and with what mods. What would be the best turbo set up for an auto tib? thanks and the more the info the better. And a tranny swap is out of the question. thanks everyone

I've ran up to 12psi on a stock automatic. You MUST let the fluid get to temperature, I cannot stress that enough. Also, get a transmission cooler, that will lower your temperatures. You might as well do the transmission flush and put a new filter in too.

good one faith (not) j/k smile.gif

Yeah i am making some pretty good money now so i am finally going to start modding the car. What are some stuff i should get before i get turbo? Like airram, bbtb, pullies, etc. I am just trying to find some stuff that i can put on the car now and that will be compatible with a turbo. Thanks a lot. I know there are probably a million threads on this, but hey, what is one more going to hurt smile.gif

thanks guys. Auto tranny all the way!!!! thats only because i cant find the parts for the swap in my area.

The fastest cars in the world are Auto

A computer can shift faster than a human can, but thats when a good tune comes in handy.
To set the shift points to performance, will beat ANY MANUAL!! (with an experianced tune ECM/PCM tune)

it is possible to abuse any transmission. Stock Hyundai tranny's are ghey and obviously are'nt used to serious power, so with any upgrade in powertrain must also come an upgrade in transmission.

Unless you are Rich $$$$

^Thats true but thats for cars that do 10s or less in the 1/4 from what I know.

Tranny coolers are a must if you go turbo. If you want to go behind 12psi, the safest thing to do is either get the tranny built up or swap (I know you dont want to do the swap)

I think that if you dont crank up the boost too much and use tranny coolers you should be okay. But eventually that tranny is going go. Thats why eventually Im going to swap my auto for a manual hehe.

Top fuelers are the fastest 'car' and to the best of my knowledge they use an air shifted Lenco dog box manual.
