Default Re: 18" Rims possible or not?

I already asked Nyne, so don't suggest that.

I went to install my SS Autochrome 4-2-1 headers this weekend (I've had those things sitting in my house for 7 months, no time to put them on). The headers went on very easily, within 45 minutes there were all bolted up. I went to connect the pipe to the exhaust, and it's freaking short!! at least 4-6" short!! I'm guessing I have a set from the 97-99 Tiburon... anyone else have this problem? I didn't want to cut and weld/clamp it so I just put the old exhaust manifold back on (with the new gasket of course).

Does anybody have any contact with them? I sent an e-mail but would like a phone number for faster contact. If someone knew these guys I'd like some help in getting the right part.

I didn't have that problem. If anything, I had to cut some of my exhaust down a bit to fit with the flex pipe.

Bleh, you shouldv'e known you were gettin cheap knockoff stuff. Use the money you saved from not buying from KSpec or some other high quality header and take it to an exhaust shop and get them to finish it off for like 30 bucks. It's not worth the trouble.

I had the exact same problem when I bought some ssa headers (used) off ebay. They have been sitting in a box in my room for a few months now, gathering dust. I wish I had a contact for you, but I don't 02.gif .

I e-mailed them and asked for info. If nothing else works, I'll just have the rest of the exhaust built. I just didn't have access to a cutter/welder at the time so I had to stick my factory exhaust manifold back on.

hamhead - it was a group buy done through their company and Nyne (Clint). Several people have their headers and have had no problem with them. It's not like it's a Wal-Mart brand. Several people have been satisfied with them. For the price I got them for, Even if the downpipe won't fit, it was well worth it.

You seem to be a little prick in some of your replies... are you around some of the other forums? You seem to have some knowledge of our cars but I just don't like the attitude vibes I get from you. Just lettin' you know

Don't forget the little 9 year old children. They help too. lol.gif Majik, I was just trying to point out that some not all people have problems with that particular header. I don't know why some are short, some are long, some are right. When you purchased them, the KSpec ones probably weren't available and they were your only option. Plus they aren't that expensive and they get the job done. I'm just saying for the 280 dollars or so you payed for them, just get them fixed and be happy with them. You complaining to SSA probably wouldn't make them change the problems they've had since they've started.
