All you Accent owners are aware of the forward resonator, the very first piece of the intake assembly... I was thinking that with the resonator removed I could place a pipe routed somewhere towards cool air, and at the end of that pipe, have a powerful fan powered from the battery forcing the cool air into the stock air filter box. Dumb idea?

 

yeah dumb idea.
a fan would not be able to produce enough air flow to help you any. also rigging controls on it so it only fires at wide open throttle would be a major pain.
but the tube idea is good. although it would still not be as good as a real cold air intake.

 

Just remove the resonator, and run some cheap air ducting to cold air. Please forget about using computer fans, they'll cause more restriction than they flow.
