Default Another CAT Question

My car is in my shop getting full cat back exhaust..well i bought a carsound hi-flow cat..and they just called me up saying there isn't a difference between the stock cat and this cat i got

this is the cat that i bought

umm, the cat you bought is better than the stock cat, as far as flow is concerned. from what i've read (i have no personal experienc with this particular cat), the carsound cats are a very good replacement for the stock cats.

Your exhaust shop needs a tad more experience. The aftermarket cat should have larger diameter inlets and outlets. That alone should increase flow, and offer an improvement.

The stock cat was also close coupled, making a significant restriction to flow.

Think strongly about NOT going back to that exhaust shop again.
